Paris here, we have been playing around with the Philips DPM8000 Professional Digital Voice Recorder and I would like to let you know of some of its new features.

• It is a beautiful device as it is made entirely out of stainless steel, making it very durable.
• It sports a large high resolution color display.
• It has a 3D mic which gives it outstanding mic quality from multiple angles and distances.
• It has a larger battery for up to 23 hours of recording.
• 'Classic Mode' which displays an animation of a traditional Philips mini cassette. Giving you the look and feel of working with an analog tape recorder while keeping the advantages of digital technology.

While playing around with it in the lab, I really like the feel of the Philips DPM8000. It rests really comfortably in your hand and feels very solid in construction. I noticed that the recording quality was top notch as I was able to use a broad range of distance and direction with the mic without losing audio quality. I also love the Classic Mode as it's a nice touch that really shines with the beautiful display. In the box, you get the Digital Portable, Carrying Case, SpeechExec Pro Dictate Recording Software, USB/Micro USB Cable, Rechargeable Battery Pack, Docking Cradle, 4GB SDHC and a User Manual.
